Design-led brand audit

Not sure what your brand needs next?

The Brand Audit gives you a clear, practical answer. I look at your brand, website, socials and sales materials with a Creative Director's eye, then send you a written action plan and a personal video showing the changes I would make first.

For when you know something is not quite landing, but you need someone to make the next step obvious.

  • Design-led clarity, not generic advice
  • Written plan and personal walkthrough
  • Can lead into implementation if needed

01 · The problem

You can feel that something is not landing. Naming it is the hard part.

Your work might already be good. Your clients might already say so. But when the brand around it is not doing its share, everything starts to feel oddly harder than it should. You over-explain. You tweak bits. You wonder if it is the logo, the website, the copy, the photos, or all of it.

  • You hesitate before sending someone your website.
  • You keep rewriting the first sentence and it still does not feel right.
  • Your Instagram, website and sales materials feel like slightly different businesses.
  • You have wondered if you need a rebrand, but you are not sure that is actually the answer.

Most founders in this position do not need more tabs open or another generic checklist. They need a calm, experienced read on what is happening, what matters commercially, and what can wait.

02 · Who it's for

For founders with something good that needs to read better.

This is for you if

  • You run a founder-led business with clients, proof and ambition
  • You suspect your brand is underselling the quality of your work
  • You want specific, ranked direction, not a mood board
  • You would rather know what to do first than keep changing bits at random

This is not for you if

  • You already know you want a full rebrand designed and delivered
  • You're pre-launch with nothing to review yet
  • You want a surface-level thumbs up rather than honest direction

03 · The audit lens

Six places your brand can make things easier, or harder.

I review the parts a buyer is likely to notice first, then rank what needs attention by impact. The point is not to mark your brand down. It is to make the next right fix obvious.

  1. 01

    Positioning clarity

Can a stranger quickly understand what you do, who it is for, and why it matters?

  2. 02

    First impression

What your brand signals before someone has worked very hard to understand it.

  3. 03

    Message hierarchy

Whether the right things are said in the right order.

  4. 04

    Visual consistency

Whether your website, socials, PDFs, decks, print and digital materials read as one business.

  5. 05

    Proof and trust

Whether your testimonials and credentials are doing real work.

  6. 06

    Calls to action

Whether the next step feels obvious, easy and worth taking.

04 · What you get

A clear read on what to fix first.

Deliverable one

The written action plan

Your strengths, your gaps, and your three priority fixes ranked by design and commercial impact, each with the why and the how. Plus quick wins you can use straight away. It is designed to be read, used and returned to.

Impact: highEffort: yours, guided

Deliverable two

The personal video

Me, on your website or materials, walking you through what I am seeing and why it matters. It is personal, practical and specific to your brand, not a generic screen recording.

10 to 15 minutesYours to keep

"The aim is not to change everything. It is to stop guessing and know where to start."

05 · How it works

A short intake, then I do the looking properly.

  1. 01

    Book

Secure your audit and fill in a short intake form. It is mostly links, context and what has been bothering you.

  2. 02

    I review

I go through your brand the way a new client would, then rank what I find by impact.

  3. 03

    You receive

You get your written plan and personal video, ready to use straight away or hand into a bigger Brand Edit.

06 · The format

It is a productised diagnostic, not a vague consultation.

A sales call is useful when we are scoping a bigger project. The audit is different: it is a focused review of what already exists, built to give you a clear diagnosis before you commit to the next stage.

You still get me personally, walking through your brand on video. The value is in the quality of the read: what is working, what is confusing people, and what needs to change first.

07 · Free first step

Want a quick read before you book?

The Brand Clarity Scorecard is a two-minute check of your positioning, first impression, visual consistency and next step. It is useful on its own, and it will show you whether the full audit is the right next move.

08 · After the audit

You can action it yourself, or bring me in to build it with you.

Use the plan yourself

If the fixes are light, you can take the audit and make the changes yourself. You will know what matters, what order to do it in, and what not to waste energy on.

Move into a Brand Edit

If the audit shows you need deeper creative direction, we can turn it into a bigger piece of design work: brand identity, website direction, social templates, app or digital screens, print materials, pitch decks and launch assets.

09 · A note from Olivia

I built this for the founder who is too close to their own brand to see what is getting in the way.

I am Olivia Robinson-Naylor, a Senior Designer and Creative Strategist. My work sits across brand systems, publishing and book design, digital materials, medical communications, cultural organisations and founder-led businesses.

That mix has made me good at one particular thing: finding the point where strong work is being made harder to understand than it needs to be. The audit is a focused version of that. I look at the brand like a new client would, then tell you what to fix first, what to leave alone, and what would make the biggest commercial difference.

What that means for your audit

  • Clear hierarchy, not just nicer visuals
  • Message hierarchy that makes the offer easier to understand
  • A practical eye on trust, proof and conversion
  • Creative direction you can actually implement

10 · FAQ

Quick answers before you book.

Do we need a sales call first?

No. The Brand Audit is a productised diagnostic, so the process is simple: you send the links and context, I review the work properly, then you receive a written plan and personal video walkthrough.

What if I don't have a website yet?

The audit still works. I review whatever exists: Instagram, a sales PDF, a booking page. The plan tells you what to build first rather than what to fix.

What exactly do I receive?

A written action plan covering your strengths, your gaps, three priority fixes ranked by impact and quick wins, plus a personal video walkthrough.

What happens if I want help implementing it?

The audit stands alone, but it can also become the first step into a bigger Brand Edit project covering brand design, website direction, social materials, digital assets, print materials and wider creative direction.

What kinds of businesses is this for?

Founder-led businesses with real traction: coaches, consultants, therapists, authors, educators, creatives, wellness and premium service businesses. UK and US both fine, everything is async.

What if I disagree with the audit?

Then reply and tell me. You get honest direction, but it should still feel like a conversation. If something does not land, I would rather know.

Do you offer refunds?

Once the review is delivered the work is done, so no. But if the audit doesn't give you at least three things worth fixing, tell me and I'll look again at no charge.
